If you know of anyone getting ready to have a baby please pass my name along. I would love to photograph more infants.

The Things Kids Say........

Before I get to the story behind the title of this post I'll let you know my couponing this week first. I actually didn't go to the grocery for a big trip this week(so no picture). Basically I got milk and necessities, but the one interesting thing I did get was 4 boxes of cereal for $1.95. They were on sale for $1.77 and I had paper coupons and coupons on my card. Really good deal!!

Ok, so we had revival at our church this past week and the guest pastor brought some really good messages. The kind of messages that really hit home no matter who you are. Well, on the final night of revival he was preaching and he began to explain the way he would and would not react when our Lord said to him "well done thou good and faithful servant you may enter in". He said he would not just say "thank you" and "I have been looking forward to this" and just go into Heaven. I don't believe I will either. Just imagining God speak those words to you should get you a little excited. No, that is not what he would do. He then began to act out the way he would react, which went something like this. Alleluia!!!!!(while pumping arms and legs in the air) Alleluia!!!!!!!(while running back and forth behind the pulpit) Alleluia!!!! Praise God!!
In the meantime Sissy is sitting with our pastor's wife. Well, she leans over to her and says "Shoo, I think he is getting a little to excited!" While she was saying this our guest pastor was still in the process of describing this great and awesome moment. He was still pumping and shouting Alleluia, only this time he took off running down the aisle still shouting and praising God. I wonder what she thought about that if he was getting to excited before. My description doesn't do justice to the excitement and the joy of this. It was a great service and we all had a wonderful time worshiping the Lord. The funny part was what Sissy said. I didn't find out about it until after service of course. Our pastor's wife came up to me about to crack up laughing and I thought I was going to get down in the floor after she told me. Kids are just so innocent and honest. I actually think the world would be a much better place if we were more honest, and didn't take it personally, with each other.

On a different note, I am glad Bubby doesn't go to daycare right now, the flu and this Hand, Foot and Mouth disease are going around like crazy. Sissy is out of school for the rest of the week due to low attendance and I have just read about two people's kids that I know having the HFM disease. I had never even heard of this until the other day. I thought it was a joke at first. You know how people will say that you have foot-mouth disease? Like you put your foot in your mouth. Well, that's what I thought they were talking about at first until I saw people commenting all these serious comments. Opps!! Anyway, everyone Lysol up and try to stay well!! Goodnight and God bless!!

Fall pictures and Fall Ball

Fall is just around the corner and I decided to try and get some fall photos of the kiddos. I say try because I think sometimes it's harder to photograph your own kids then it is other people's kids. At least it is when you are trying to get a one year old to sit still for more than 2 seconds. I set my background up the other day for a session and after the session was over I set up a small set for fall photos for my kids. I only managed to get one of them together and Sissy's hair was in her face. I did manage to get a few of them by their selves, but would have loved to have gotten a lot more. Oh well! Take a look.......aren't they the cutest?

We signed Sissy up for Fall Ball in our town and her first practice is tonight. Fall Ball is not about competition, it is more about learning to play as a team and learning the concept of the game. I am really excited for her and she is super excited to. Her first game will be sometime next week. I am looking forward to it. Good luck Sissy!!

My Kroger trip today

Ok, here goes. I am going to tell you what I got and what I paid for it after coupons.

I know you can't see all of the bread, but I got 8 loaves of bread for $.50 each
2 things of hot dog buns for $.79 each
5 A1 marinades for $.99 each
3 boxes of Capri Sun for $3.83 for all 3
2 boxes of Ritz for $3.23 for both
2 boxes of Crackerfuls for FREE
2 boxes of Wheat Thins for $1.98 for both
6 Lunchables for $.99 each
3 boxes of Velvetta shells and cheese for $.72 for all 3
2 Knorr sides for $1.25 for both
2 half gallons of milk for $2.50
1 Maxwell House coffee for $4.99
2 packages of hot dogs for $.99 each
2 packages of lunch meat for $5 for both
1 bottle of Palmolive for $2.13(will be FREE after mail in rebate)
1 Cascade Action Pacs for $2.27
5 cans of Kroger fruit for $4.42
4 things of Dole fruit cups for $5.70
3 cans of Hunt's diced tomatoes for $2.25
1 Dole juice for $1.50
1 Skinny Cow Truffle Bars for $1.49

All that for $63.27!! I saved over $40 just with coupons, saved over $80 with coupons and Kroger savings!! I thought I did pretty well.
Since I have been couponing if I went to the grocery one week and spent $100 I would probably have a heart attack. I usually don't spend over $50(or try not to), but I stocked up a little this week, so I think it's ok just this once. Let me know how you did this week!! Happy shopping and God bless!!!

Kroger is having another mega event. It's mostly Kraft and Nabisco products. Next week's big Rite Aid deal on diapers:

Huggies, or Pure & Natural or GoodNites jumbo packs $11 ea
-$10 SCR #4 wyb (3) packs of Diapers, Pull ups or Good Nites

The SCR, for any new couponers, means Single Check Rebate. It's Rite Aid's version of Extra Care Bucks from CVS, except they actually send you a check in the mail after you fill out the form. With CVS you have to spend the ECB's there. This is an awesome deal!! Please take advantage of this if you can. If you have questions, please comment below.

HOT coupons

If you go to Southernsavers.com you will find a clickable link for a printable $2 off Huggies coupon and another a little further down the list for a $5 off Luvs coupon that will be mailed to you just for signing up with Luvs. If you have babies or know somebody that does, these are really great coupons. Will post some Kroger deals and a great deal at Rite Aid(this one is for next week) later today.

About Me

Hello all! Just a bit about me.....my name is Jessica and I am married to my high school sweetheart, Nathan. We have two wonderful children which we will call Sissy and Bubby. Sissy is 7 years old and Bubby just turned 1 year old. Sissy is in the 2nd grade. We just had Bubby's birthday party a couple weeks ago and he had a John Deere party. Little boys and their tractors, so cute! I am a stay-at-home mom and I enjoy taking pictures, couponing, saving money and going to church. Nathan is currently searching for work due to a recent lay-off. He cannot wait to get a job and get out the house. We feel very blessed and owe it all to a very gracious God. He has been good to us and we are very grateful. I will leave you with a photo of Sissy and Bubby........

Beginning

I have been thinking about starting a blog for awhile now and just never got around to it, but finally I am doing it. Hopefully I will keep it updated and not forget about it for months at a time.
This morning I attended the monthly coupon swap that they have one county over from where I live. I really enjoy going and hearing the girls tell about deals that they have gotten and where different things are on sale. We are babysitting this weekend, so our 2 year old niece went with me. The girl that hosts the coupon swap brought her little girl and they played together.
We will be taking the kids to their great grandparents tonight while we attend an Emmaus event. I am looking forward to it. Well, not the most exciting blog post, but that's all I have for right now. Maybe more excitement tomorrow.
